About the event
Mike Sheridan:
From the young start in Copenhagen's electronic music scene in the mid-00s to a well-established sound artist, Mike Sheridan has traveled through the many facets of music with his atmospheric style. The debut album "I Syv Sind" (2008) set the tone with its dreamy, ambient sound. A turning point in his career was the discovery of the French instrument Cristal Baschet, which led to intensive study and mastery of this particular instrument.
Sheridan's collaboration with the Danish trumpet master Palle Mikkelborg has been decisive, and together they have explored the limits of music on stage. Sheridan has also made a name for himself in film and theater music, and was nominated for a Danish Academy Award in 2021 for his score to the film "Persona Non Grata".
Most recently, Sheridan released his third album "Atmospherics" in 2023, which was received internationally with great acclaim.
